Fold glues
For almost 40 years PLANATOL has specialised in adhesives for job and newspaper printing in connection with the OPIMATIC glue application technology. These so-called fold glues have been carefully developed for the “rotary fold gluing” procedure and require special production techniques, among others extremely fine screening. In the production process everything depends on a trouble-free application of the glue from the smallest applicator nozzles which have a minimum diameter of 0.3 mm at print web speeds of up to 20 m/sec to achieve perfect glue connections.
PLANATOL supports the philosophy that only one type of durable adhesive
should be necessary to glue all standard paper qualities with any ink coverage
and siliconisation which are used on rotary presses and to exclude that
the type of adhesive has to be changed during the production process. The
PLANATOL FK-types mentioned here are the most popular adhesives worldwide
in this area of development.
