PLANATOL, the family-run company located in Bavaria, has succeeded in the past two years in extending its position in the market as PSA (pressure sensitive adhesives) specialist by means of strategic investments. With the construction of a new production hall with a modern reactor at its location in Thansau, the production spectrum was widened.

The taking over of an adhesives company enlarged the product portfolio. The productions and sales volume of the PLANATOL corporate group in the meantime lies at about 10 000 tons of special adhesives per year. In the PSA segment, PLANATOL is a full services provider. The company provides HMPSA, PSA dispersions, and solvent-borne PSA for the coating industry. This complete product portfolio is advantageous for the customer as different PSAs can be supplied for different applications by one and the same supplier. Deliveries are made in all common packaging forms up to and including by deliveries by a tanker. As an SME company, PLANATOL defines itself as a partner for its customers. To select the correct adhesive for specific applications or to develop one from new only functions in close cooperation with the users. The conglutination of lower roofing tie beams, ventilation units, the self-adhesive equipping of protection foils, carpets, adhesive and sealing bands, separators for glass panes, insulation of electric cabling are only a few individual examples of the many applications in which PLANATOL PSAs are applied. PLANATOL delivers to a wide range of differing branches, such as the automotive, construction, aviation, adhesives and plastics industries.

Adhesives in the form of a ribbon

Highly adhesive hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives (HMPSA) are offered for a wide range of adhesive links in the assembly branch. As the manufacturer of these adhesives, PLANATOL is in the position to further process a small proportion of its HMPSAs itself. On an own coating facility, the ribbon adhesive tapes Combifix and foam adhesive tapes Combimount are produced. Combifix are adhesive ribbons, which are applied infinitely to a carrier material. The width and height of the adhesive ribbons are practically unlimitedly selectable, as are their gaps between them. They are processable as 100 m rolls on 76 mm tubes. The products are above all used in the profile industry under wood, plastic and aluminium borders. PLANATOL produces the ribbon adhesive tapes and foam adhesive tapes upon request of a customer as a white good.
