Intensive research and development into sustainable adhesives and the use of naturally renewable raw materials play an important role in this.
Planatol has been producing and developing adhesives from renewable raw materials such as starch-based systems for many years, thus contributing to active environmental protection. We are continuously in close contact with our large network of suppliers in order to find new raw materials for sustainable production.
In the development and production of our adhesives, we pay attention to the responsible use of available resources, optimise their consumption and thus avoid unnecessary environmental pollution. In addition, we continuously try to minimise harmful substances in our formulations and, if possible, replace them completely. Through our membership in the IVK and our associated participation in various working groups, we are always well informed about industry news, changes in legislation, approvals or new standards.
As a certified specialist company in accordance with WHG, compliance with all requirements of the Water Resources Act is just as much a matter of course for us as the limitation of emissions to a minimum.
Of course, our plants are approved according to the Federal Immission Control Act (BlmSchG). The waste water from production is treated in our own water treatment plant and we are constantly looking for new technologies to further optimise and also reduce process waste water.
In order to reduce energy consumption and to realise savings potentials, we regularly carry out an energy audit according to DIN EN 16247 and implement appropriate measures effectively.
All our employees participate in the proper separation and disposal of waste in accordance with the packaging regulations. We leave our open spaces on the company premises largely to nature and respect the habitat of many animals and plants.
As a medium-sized company, Planatol faces up to its social and societal responsibility. For this reason, the employee plays a central role and thus guarantees the sustainable success of the company. By regularly participating in measures for occupational safety and plant safety, we ensure safety at the workplace and thus avoid occupational accidents.
